Evan Almighty (2007) is a comedy-satire sequel to Bruce Almighty where newly elected Congressman Evan Baxter (Steve Carell) is commanded by God (Morgan Freeman) to build a massive ark in preparation for a flood. Amidst a mid-life crisis, a changing appearance, and media scrutiny, Evan fulfils the, at first, seemingly absurd, divine mission to "change the world".
